"...the sons of former slaves, and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream."
(A video put together by my son-in-law: Very fine video. Hope it blesses.)
ML King was the real deal when it came to human rights. He contended for equal rights with a heart that was not prejudice, and, was fervent for black Americans to be treated as human beings, and not as sub-human. And he was dedicated to all people, no matter the color of their skin. I believe he was genuinely used by the Lord to wake this nation up. Not as so many of the phonies that we have in our day, who only care for themselves to become popular, and rich. ML King, I believe, didn't have this darkness covering his soul.
Was he a genuine Christian, who loved the Lord? I don't know. But I thank God for him.
His heart was in the right place. Perhaps his theology lacked, but his heart for love and forgiveness was right on the money. Martin Luther King is a good example for us all.
