I Believe

I watched this video a while ago, and thought it was well done, and so here it is.
Wes King's lyrics, and Rich Mullins' lyrics are very edifying. I wish Rich was still here. And Wes was struck with cancer, and I'm not sure how he is doing to be honest.
Both of these Christian artists have written and produced some excellent CD's. Too bad the CCM radio stations don't play more of their music.

"Jesus said..'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

"When the truth of the gospel is compromised or negotiated, the church ceases to be evangelical. We live in a time of crisis with respect to truth, where many churches see doctrine merely as something that divides. Therefore, they stress relationships over truth. That is a false distinction, as a commitment to truth is a commitment that should manifest itself in vital, living relationships. Relationships can never be a substitute for embracing the truth of God. So the either/or fallacy of doctrine or relationship cannot be maintained under careful biblical scutiny. .....

David F. Wells describes the crisis of the twenty-first century church as "vacuous worship." A vacuous worship is one that is empty of content. It is satisfied with platitudes, pop psychology, and entertainment. Such worship is devoid of the Word of God and of the authentic sacrifice of praise. .....

In every generation, including our own, the same perils to the spiritual strength that Jesus rebuked in the seven churches of Revelation threaten us anew. These include such things as a lack of love, a lack of truth, a compromising spirit with the world, a lukewarm devotion, and a double-minded conviction, to name but a few. There were rebukes and encouragements given to these churches by our Lord that every church in every age must take seriously, examining ourselves to make sure that we are not manifesting the same departures from biblical truths that these churches were. We must be vigilant and diligent if we are to maintain a godly witness in our day." -Dr. RC Sproul, From Tabletalk Magazine, May issue.

The Church has become shallow in the deep things of God. May the Lord give us a great, and even painful, hunger for His Word. And when we are really hungry, then we will eat. And may He also give us a great thirst for His Spirit, and then we will drink, and out of our lives will flow rivers of joy, love, and peace. The Holy Spirit will only produce fruit, His fruit, in our lives, as we eat the Word, and drink from the divine fountains of the Spirit.

"“Come, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters;
and he who has no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live;
and I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
my steadfast, sure love for David." Isaiah 55:1-3

Abort73.com - This Is Abortion

I shared this video on my blog back in 2007. I have been discussing abortion with a fellow who lives in Ireland, where abortion is illegal.
I thought of this video. And so sent him the link. It's balanced in it's sensativity I thought.
However, no matter how sensative you are, abortion in truth is heinous: Perhaps the most monstrous sin in our nation, and the world. And so to view this video is very difficult; quite hard to do.

I will continue to pray to our Lord to forgive us and grant us repentance as a nation, and even in the Body of Christ, where abortion is not hated as it needs to be. And I shall continue to contend against this evil wickedness of slaughtering innocent babies.

BTW, President Obama not only contends for abortion, he contends for partial birth abortion, and infanticide as well. There's something evil taking a living baby, botched in an abortion, and put that baby in a closet to slowly die; and to also contend for a procedure that is so heinous, that it sucks the brains from a baby; and also the dismembering of baby's arms, legs, hands, feet, and heads, in the womb.

Where are the rights of these innocent girls, and boys?

"If that which you have heard from the begining shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father." 1 John 2:24

Jesus said: "You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and your fruit should remain" (John 15:16a).

The Lord is sovereign in our hearts, minds, and lives. "From life's first cry, to my final breath, Jesus commands my destiny."

Jesus also said: "..That whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you" (John 15:16b).

And we need to be living by faith in Christ, His words, and promises.

We need to be praying to our Father in Jesus' name for His grace and wisdom to fill our hearts, minds, and lives; never to lose heart.

So lets take our prayers and requests, all day long, to a loving heavenly Father, who is working all things togther for our good, and most of all, for His glory: Those of us who have been called, and who love Him, and love the Savior.

Have a blessed weekend, and especially Lord's day!
