The Apostle Paul uses the human anatomy as a metaphor of the people of the Lord. It's rather simple really. The body has many parts: eyes, ears, legs, hands, etc. Each part needs the other part, and with out one part the body will not function very well.
Or if the body was one huge ear, it would as well not function at all, except to hear.
The people of God are brought into God's family, and each new creation is essential for the body to grow, and to function, and to even accomplish things for the honor and glory of the Creator, Jesus Christ.
So be encouraged. If you think you are not much use, that is untrue, and you are of great importance to the Lord. And the body of Christ needs you.
And if you think you are important, and that you have great gifts, and the Lord can not do without, then you need to repent, and humble yourself in His sight.
Ask the Lord to have mercy on you, and then come and join the body of Christ.
For God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble. Being humble is good, and then the Lord will lift you up, and reveal your gifts, and your portion of grace and faith that he has given you.
And you will be glad to use all that He has blessed you with for the glory of His name; the name of Jesus Christ, who will return to this earth to judge the living and the dead. Amen.
