Does God second guess?

As I was reading where the Lord Jesus rebuked the religious leaders, and said, "their father is the devil", I wondered if there are people in the Church who think Jesus may be in heaven pondering whether He may have been a little too harsh?

Perhaps the Lord is saying, "I wish I never said their father was the devil, and I wish I could have been a little kinder and more understanding towards what they were feeling."

As absurd as this sounds to me, I truly believe there are those in the Church, who have come in by stealth to teach their own doctrine, who would think, "Yeah, maybe the Lord is second guessing Himself."

In our age of everything and anything goes, we need to be warned, that there are many anti-christs, who are empowered by spirits of error, who have infested the Body of Christ.

The Word of God, and the Lord's Word is perfect. He speaks righteously and always to glorify His name. He speaks with love, but always the truth. He calls sinners sinners, and repentant sinners repentant sinners.

Paul says this, "If anyone, even an angel brings a different gospel, then let them be accursed". The truth of the gospel, and the truth of God's Book go hand in hand, and we need to bow our knee to its authority in our lives, hearts, and minds.

And this is a blessing, not a hard thing on us. It's a treasure, and a precious and beautiful gift from God above. All good gifts come from the Father of lights.

There's a heaven, and there's a hell. And while we are here on earth we're gonna serve somebody. It might be the devil, and it may be the Lord, but we're gonna serve somebody. And when we die we're gonna go someplace. It might be heaven, or it might be hell, but we're gonna go someplace.

And the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, is the only salvation that God has. It's the simplicity that Christ died for sinners, and rose from the dead, and a sinner needs to come to grips with this, and cry out to the Lord for mercy, and turn from his wickedness to God.

"When we as Christains look for the least common denominator regarding the minimum requirement for going to heaven, I fear the case becomes that we give into a sentimental ideology more than a biblical theology. It is evident that in our cultural milieu and postmodern ethos that even speaking about someone's eternal destiny is unacceptable." -Timmy Brister
