I was able to listen to a powerful message yesterday on Romans 8:1-4. It's a message that genuine believers find difficult to accept, though we know it deep down in our souls, we seem to always condemn ourselves, don't we. At least I do. And yet Paul tells us that there is NOW, right now, NO, that's not even one drop of, condemnation for those who are in Christ! It is this unbelievable truth, that is to shape our hearts into the image of the Son of God. It does in fact do exactly that. But we need to hear it every day, and over and over. We need to drink deep of this infinite truth from God's Holy Scriptures.
"Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
I am forever thankful for the Lord giving "anointed" pastors to His people, so that we can come and be fed with His holy Word, and be set apart by the truth, for His purposes and pleasure.
What a magnificeint Lord and Savior we have, who drank every drop of God's holy wrath, for those who deserved this same wrath. And what a wonderful Father to give His only Beloved for sinners like me and you.
Thank You Jesus for taking all the condemnation, that we deserve, upon Your blameless and perfect body, and for being our substitute. Amen.
