"Christians aren't perfect, they're simply forgiven." True or false.

"By one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified." Heb. 10:14

Yes Christians are perfect. We are perfect in Christ. Our perfection is His imputed righteousness to us, which is perfection. It's also our transgressions and sins imputed to Jesus Christ, and this great exchange took place 2000 years ago on that magnificient tree on Calvary. Hallelujah!

"Because He took their place, they now share His. His righteousness is theirs, His standing before God is theirs, His life is theirs. There is not a single condition for them to meet, not a single responsibility for them to discharge in order to attain their eternal bliss." - Arthur W. Pink

Nothing can pluck us from His hands. In fact, we are engraved upon these hands of love, which allowed us to hammer steal spikes through them into the Cross of suffering and shame, so that we might become engraved upon these same nail-scarred hands, the hands we will one day behold!

"No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow'r of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand."

I'm glad you answered the way you did...may we grow in grace and come to the measure of His fullness...

Amen. We certainly need to be growing.

Forgiven in Christ and on your own outside of Christ. There is not a neutral or undecided position that I used to think existed.

"There's not a neutral postion."

Amen. We are dead in sin, and we hate the truth, and even "suppress" it as you showed us in your blog, and we will not come into the light.

But God, with His greta love, has quickened us, and brought us out of darkness, and into His marvelous light!
Now we come into the light because we now "rejoice in the truth", because we love THE Truth.
