"Did I not say ...you would see the Glory... And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, ..." John 11:40-41

I read John chapter 11 today to my Mom when I stopped by for a visit. It's peculiar, I thought, how the Lord hears that Lazarus is very sick, and yet He lets him die. Why? Jesus surely loved Lazarus. (ver.3) He loved Mary & Martha, Lazarus' sisters. (ver. 5) So why not go and heal him; or simply heal him as He did the Centurion's servant?

For the glory of His Father! The glory of God was paramount for our Lord. There's nothing that compares to His glory.
And I believe His greatest glory comes to Him through the grace He grants to sinners, so that they can spend eternity in the presence of the glory of God the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ.

"I am the LORD [Yahweh], that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another,
Nor My praise to carved images." Isaiah 42:8
