"It's too valuable and sentimental." -Matt Murphy
This crazy guy is going to be offered $500,000, and not take it, because he wants to keep the $6 baseball be caught the other night off the bat of Barry Bonds.
Man, I wish I had that ball. I could use the money.
How silly is it to pay half a million dollars for a baseball. There were literally hundreds of baseballs hit in the game that night, and they're all identical. If you took the ball Bonds hit and dropped it in a bag with 10 other baseballs and shook it up, you'd never be able to tell which was the HR ball.
This ball is a treasured possesion to this young man, and that's cool beans for him. But I just don't get it.
Loads of spiritual comparisons here, and I was thinking of spiritualizing this, but that would be kind of chezzie, I thought.
I basically wanted to write the thoughts that have been buzzin' around in my head all day, and share how crazy I think this guy is. That's about it.
