"So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old rugged cross, And exchange it some day for a crown."-George Bennard

"How sweet are thy words unto my taste!" Psalm 119:103
"Therefore the greatest service that a man can do for God is to exercise himself in true godliness, diligently to hear and to read the Word. Contrariwise, there is nothing more dangerous than to be weary of the Word. He therefore that is so cold, that he thinks himself to know enough, and begins little by little to loathe the Word, that man has lost Christ and the gospel, and that which he thinks himself to know, he attains only by bare speculation.
So let every faithful man labor and strive with all diligence to learn and to keep this doctrine: and to that end, let him use humble and hearty prayer, with continual study and meditation of the Word." -Luther
Satan has a arsenal of firey darts, and all sorts of spiritual weapons to use against us. Not to mention all his ministers, who come as seemingly righteous and nice, and yet deceivers, even deceiving themselves, who have their own agenda, not Christ's Word burning in their hearts.
So put on the armour of the Savior, and wield the sword of the Spirit, which can only be skillfully wielded if wielded in love.
