"BB Warfield", a true witness for Christ.

[Princeton University Chapel]

"We must always be accepted for Christ's sake, or we cannot be accepted at all.
This is not true of us only when we believe.
It is just as true after we have believed.
It will continue to be true as long as we live.
Our need of Christ does not cease with our believing, nor does the nature of the relation to Him or to God through Him ever alter, no matter what our attainments in Christian graces or our achievements in behavior may be. It is always on his blood and righteousness alone that we can rest." -BB Warfield (From Alistair Begg's personal note)

"In 1887 Warfield was appointed to the Charles Hodge Chair at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he succeeded Hodge's son A. A. Hodge. Warfield remained there until his death. As the last conservative successor to Hodge to live prior to the re-organization of Princeton Seminary, Warfield is often regarded as the last of the Princeton theologians." [from wikipedia]

This was an incredible saint of the Lord. And a fine example to the body of Christ. I thank the Lord for Benjamin Breckenridge Warfield, and for his teachings, and most of all for his testimony as a worshiper, and servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It's great to have such men to glean from, who have lived and died for Jesus Christ with such uncompromising faith in the Gospel, and godliness, and holiness, and love.

Thanks for stopping by Jazzy.
