Could this type of persecution of the Lord's Church happen in America? Perhaps it may. I pray it doesn't, but it may.

"The Bible is more precious than gold." What amazing faith this dear sister in the Lord has, to make such a heartfelt statement. Amazing!
It must be the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ within these dear brothers and sisters which causes them to live for their Savior, and not deny Him, and love the Bible, even unto torture, homelessness, and death.

Some sobering words from our Lord Jesus Christ:

“‘I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.’" Rev. 2:9-11

"Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matt. 5:11-16

You know, I look at that video and think about my own church. I get stressed out if we have technical challenges with the sound system, snafus with the power point and such. It drives me batty to see that someone on the team does not strive for excellence. I even get that o'l vein in the forehead if people don't use the microphone the right way. And look at those brothers and sisters worshipping. No full band with three part harmony... no computerized power point for song lyrics. It gets me thinking. I may still have much to learn.

Thanks for your thoughts Craver.

It's a blessing to have what we have here in America. But our hearts do go out to our less fortunate brothers and sisters.

But on that Day, it will be different methinks. We will all see Christ as the One who was sovereign over every thing in our lives: Where we were born, our family, etc., etc..

And we will all give glory to Him. The American children of God, and the Indian children of God. King David, and Lazarus the beggar.

It's all grace. But we do need to have a humility about our blessings, and about how our fellow saints struggle, and are in dire need.
