I love to hear God's Word on TV. Of course back in 1965, when this "Peanuts" Christmas Special was first aired the truth of the Bible was much more accepted. 44 years later, (Wow! 44 years!), the Bible is for the most part, even in the Church, irrelevant. Seems truth has be watered down, and people's minds have been dumbed down over these past years so much so, that sin has little meaning, and so the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, where forgiveness of sin can only be attained, has very little meaning.
Enough of my complaining though. The darkness is what it is, but God is still the Light of this world, and His Holy Scriptures will go forth, and will not return to Him void, for He is sovereign, and where ever He sends His Word, it will accomplish that with which the Lord God has sent it.
As Isaiah says:
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
“For you shall go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you
shall break forth into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands." (ESV)
So enjoy Linus' wonderful reading of the birth of Christ the Lord, from the King James Version, which fits quite well here don't you think?.

Did you watch that special on TV last night. I caught the end of it and then saw Disney's new Christmas special: Prep & Landing. Aside from completely missing the point of Christmas, and the typical sterilization of anything Christian, it was a cute animation.
I liked the new Disney special. Yeah I watched Charlie Brown, "of all the the Charlie Brown's in the world, he is the most Charlie Browniest".
But they cut three scenes out of it, and that made me upset. Why not show the whole thing! Man!
Oh yeah, $$$$$$$$$$ for advertising must be observed, or should I say filthy lucre.
Thanks for stopping by Craver.
