"So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown."-George Bennard

"You give and take away, My heart will choose to say, Lord blessed be Your name." But only by Your grace can I ever hope to speak these words.
[I don't know why this video won't play here, but if you double click it does play. Weird. It's probably me.]
I love the tempo of the melody of this wonderful song, written by Matt Redman. There is the faster version, which I also enjoy, but this slower sound fits much nicer, don't you think.
Hey Sandman. They asked me to play congas for worship next Sunday. I'm a sound tech, not a musician. How in the world am I supposed to learn to play these songs in one week?! They said I was free to bail out, but I'd really like to try it. (biting fingernails)
We have a brother who plays the bongos every Sunday, and he is no expert, but his little bit of percussion does help out. I'm betting you will do fine. May the Lord bless.
