For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;..and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

This horrible murderous scene has just happened on Christmas Day. The day we are celebrating, where the King of glory and Prince of peace was born, and angels annouce "Peace on earth", we have such violence, agony, and malice. Anything but peace.

There is a saying in the Church: "No Jesus, No Peace. Know Jesus, Know Peace." And it is true. It will never be perfect peace until the Prince of peace returns, but if we pray, and we go forth and share Jesus with a world that likes to murder itself, then perhaps God will have mercy on many of these lost souls, and we will see peace on earth grow.
It's the only way really.

Jesus said: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."

This peace is an eternal peace of the heart and mind. And it is a treasure we have as Christians, and a treasure we need to share.

Have a Merry Christmas!!

I see these types of horrible events and wonder, "What drives a person to do such things?" Our sin nature is awful.

It sure is Craver. Hatred in a human heart--is there anything more wicked?
