He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, ...so he opened not his mouth." Isa. 53

There are times I realize I am the man, -(no different than the religious leaders in our Lord's day)-, who hates Christ, and so my desire is for Him to be done away with; killed. And this was my heart, all the time, until Christ came and sought me, and gave me mercy and a new heart, and a renewed mind. Now, I have to fight my flesh at times, but I have a heart that does love Jesus.

Why did Jesus do this for me; come and save me, and give me a new heart of flesh, instead of granite? It's because "He first loved me", as John tells us in his 1st Epistle. Jesus loved a hateful human full of disrespect and blasphemy, not to mention all my other sins.

Ah, but why did He love such an evil wretch as me?
That question I do not know. And most likely it will be a mystery ten thousand times ten thousand years from now.
Yet, I can rejoice that my Savior saved me with all my heart and mind, and I can know this for sure, because it says so in His Word, which is truth: And He has all the glory and honor in such a salvation.

"To Jesus Christ be all glory!" Amen.

I wonder how much we will know then. A lot more than we know now, of that I am sure, but still not omniscient.

Some things I expect in heaven (all sanctified):
Food, work, maybe even books (the Bible speaks of scrolls).

I agree Craver. And the next age will be totally set apart, no more of my flesh, the world or the devil; especially my flesh.
