"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee,..." -Jesus (Matt. 23:37)

What would be our Lord's Word to His people today, the Church?

Jesus went on to say to the people of Israel, "...how often would have I gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!"

The circumstances may be different in our day with the people of the Lord, but isn't our Lord still sending His true pastors and evangelists to the Church to call us to Himself, and to His Word? Of course the Lord is also sending His Gospel forth to unbelievers, the pagans in this world, who need to hear the good news of Christ's love and forgiveness for sin.

Seems the Word of God in our day has become not so important. Perhaps even just another book to some.

I pray that there would be a revival in our day, where thousands times thousands of people in the visible Church would starve for the Word of God. Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God!"
