"And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed."-Jesus, our Savior & Lord (Jn. 17:5)

ROBERT TRAILL (1642-1716)

"The secret moth and poison in many people's religion is, that it is not Christianity at all. God out of Christ is a consuming fire ; God not worshipped in Christ is an idol; all hopes of acceptance out of Christ are vain dreams ; a heaven out of Christ is little better than a Turk's paradise."

What do you suppose he means by "a Turk's paradise?"

Not sure. Don't know much about this brother. I read this quote from JC Ryle's commentary on the Gospel of John.
But I thought about that as well Craver. The Turk's perhaps have a paradise like Muslims, the 30 women and all that.
Nice of you to stop by bro.
