"They've got stars they don't have wishes for"

One of The Doobie's best. Tremendous talent here.
And simple lyrics to dig a bit deep into our soul. Make us think, and help us out of shallowness. But it's mainly the music here, not the lyrics so much. With "Skunk" Baxter, and the horns, and Michael Mac. Good music.

"Oh, why do they come and ask for more?
They've got stars they don't have wishes for
They're just givin' up their blame to me
How do the fools survive?

It's not like it was before
When they call I won't come running
It was so long ago
I left them on their own
Oh, how do the fools survive? "-Michael McDonald

That was pretty tight. There was no sloppiness in there at all. I love that kind of precision timing. Not too long ago, I told someone that after growing up I stopped liking Led Zeppelin. The reason? They were messy... they didn't play as one unit.

Hahahahaha.... the word verification is "weead." Now, why do you suppose that pops up for a post about the Doobie Brothers?

That's funny Craver. Yeah the Doobie Brothers were very "tight" with their music and they all were expert musicians as well. Thanks for opping in my good friend.
