The Handwriting on the Wall: -- " Immediately the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace, opposite the lampstand. And the king saw the hand as it wrote. Then the king's color changed, and his thoughts alarmed him; his limbs gave way, and his knees knocked together. . . . . “Then from his presence the hand was sent, and this writing was inscribed. And this is the writing that was inscribed: Mene, Mene, Tekel, and Parsin. This is the interpretation of the matter: Mene, God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end; Tekel, you have been weighed in the balances and found wanting; Peres, your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”-Daniel the prophet (chapter 5)

"And though my lack of education
   Hasn't hurt me none
I can read the writing on the wall"-Paul Simon

As I listen to this song, I thought of the "writing on the wall" that God sent to The King of Babylon: - Belshazzar. The writing is on the wall in so many ways in so many avenues of life in the 21st century; -and culture as well.
And, sad to say,  people are dead, and the Good News of Jesus Christ is not only an after thought to most in this world, it is even despised. God's "Gospel" is hated by our nation that was founded on Christian-Judea principles. Sad indeed.
