I was thinking how the Lord Jesus did some serious walking when He was here on earth. His feet must have tread hundreds, if not thousands, of miles. These wonderful feet, which brought the good news of forgiveness of sin, would one day be set upon a wooden beam, and have a heavy iron spike hammered through them. His feet weren't pushed down, nor held there, but Jesus laid them down. What love is this? It's the greatest love. And we who have been called, and justified, can "walk" in this same love, as we "walk" by faith in the power of His Spirit. In fact, we MUST "walk" in this love. Because His beautiful feet were pierced for our transgressions, we now are the feet that bring good news to a lost world.
The truth of Christ's sacrifice should make our hearts heavy, and also rejoice. What a Savior! What Love! I am forgiven, for I have died with the crucified One, and risen with the risen One, and now even sit with the One sitting at the right hand of His Father, who now is my Father as well.
Hallelujah!
