Rutgers 28 - Louisville 25

I watched a exciting college game last night. Though I really don't care for either school, I like to watch a good game, and this one was exceptional. Rutgers (#15) beat Louisville (#3).

To beat the 3rd ranked team is quite good. And on top of that this small college is 9-0.

The other thing that hit me was the head coach for Rutgers, Greg Schiano, was in the latest edition of Sports Spectrum. It's a very nice read. He's been all over coaching . He even coached with the Chicago Bears. And it was with the Bears where he became a Christian. He really has a full life now coaching at Rutgers.

I thought this quote was interesting:

"Pro football's easier--easier to coach, paid more, easier on your family, no recruiting. But it's about how fast can you get in the Mercedes and blow out of the parking lot. Here I have a chance to take them from young men to grown men. I have a chance to really affect their lives. And I think that's what my calling is." - Greg Schiano

It's important for all God's children to know their calling, and be excited about serving the Lord. There's a joy that fills the heart when we are serving the Lord. And when we are sitting on the sideline, we may think we are experiencing joy, but we're not.
Jesus said, "I have food you know not of".
The Lord has this same food for us. Of course, not to the degree of the Savior, but the same food nonetheless.
The food is to do the will of our Father. Accompanied with sorrow at times, and even hard trials, but it's a food that truly satisfies.

"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full." John 15:11
