"So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown."-George Bennard

SharperIron » Reaching Out to Homosexuals. I am once again posting this article, because of the blogsphere's buz over Dr. Al Moher's gene theory.
I don't really understand the relevance of genes. All people have sexual orientations. Whether our sexual orientations are more learned or more inherited, we have them and they're powerful. Heterosexuals and homosexuals can both commit sin sexually - I guess I just don't see what the relevance of genes is to this situation.
If sexual orientation is genetically determined is the idea that homosexuals can't help themselves? But the power of sexual urges is real and strong and hard to resist for both sexual orientations. It's already hard for people to help themselves. We already know this!
God created His most grand creation, humans, in His image, male and female. He never created a man to be sexually active with another man, nor a woman with another woman.
The one and only sexual intimacy that we as humans are allowed as righteous before God is a man and a woman, and they must be married and faithful as well.
Throughout the history of the world, God's grace is so very evident. Though His judgement is as evident: the flood, Sodom & Gomorrah, and even 70 AD, Jerusalem.
God hates sin. He punishes sin, and yet He is more merciful then we could ever ubderstand. God the Father gave His Beloved Son, for people who were ungodly rebels, and who have their own ideas, and as long as God lines up with us, then we'll accept Him. He saves sinners like us. Amazing!
Thank You Lord Jesus for the Cross, and for taking all my sins, and sins of the whole world upon Your holy body. Amen. You are correct that the gene theory is irrelavent, I agree.
