"His Sweat Was As It Were Great Drops of Blood"

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, ... You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." Hebrews 12:2,4

There's not a chance I could suffer to the degree our Lord and Savior suffered, but I surely do need to suffer in the same manner.

His love was a sacrificial love, and that's the sort of love that I need to have in my heart, and manifest in my life.

I can only do this by His grace, and by being born anew, baptised with His Holy Spirit. And when I display such love, then Jesus, my Lord, receives all the glory, for it is His mercy and grace that has worked in my life and heart, and that does work daily to conform me into the image of the only begotten Son of God: the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Thank you Lord for giving me the grace so that I can suffer for You. Amen.
