"A time to be silent, and a time to speak".

"A fool vents all his feelings,
But a wise man holds them back." Pr. 29:11

There's a lot for the disciple of Christ to learn about how to speak the truth, and when to speak the truth.

This past week I have grown in my knowledge of how the Lord desires we converse with different people in the Church.

In the blogging kingdom there are some fine examples for this very thing. And I am thankful to our Savior for allowing me to be able to glean from them.

I pray that I would continue to grow in His grace and knowledge, so that I will be able to hold my tongue, or bite it, and to have the courage to speak when called for. Amen.

Good points. I do not feel very confident in this area because I feel I err by speaking too much at times.

Don,

Your blogs are the cooooolest- keep 'em coming. But don't mention me as I'm the jinx to all successful blogging efforts!

Wayne, we all do. And sometimes silence is golden, but other times it can be yellow.
But God, ... is faithful.

Greg,
Thanks bro. But there are so many excellent blogs out there. I'm low man on the blogging totem pole.

You may want to chek out jazzycat here. He has some great teachings. And also evenso has a lot of good stuff you may want to glean from bro.
See you Sunday. I'm praying the Lord will have His Word go down deep into the congregations ears. And that your sermon will be blessed by God.

It's tough trying to find the right balance, and no matter how you decide, there will always be critics, but we must not give up and act on our convictions.

Thank God for the ministry of reconciliation, that we are able to ask for and humbly receive forgiveness when we offend.

Amen craver. Asking for forgiveness, and forgiving is one of our most important disciplines.

This is an admonishment that we simply cannot hear enough of. Thank you!

Oh, especially so for this culture we live in--and are a product of as well--

We're taught to believe that personal restraint of any kind is simply to be identified with "weakeness" and "mindlessness"; not so, and I love the clarity and simplicity of this wisdom as taught from God's Word...it's just brilliant.

Words escape me in my prayers, when I attempt to thank God for all the wisdom given to us through His written Word!

Thanks for the great post!

Blessings!

Thank you Kristine.

Grace and peace to you and your family.
Walking with Christ is a joy, and a daily dying to ourselves, until He returns, or calls us home.
May His joy, which is now our joy, fill your heart more and more each day as you live for His glory. All for Christ our King, and Friend!
