"So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old rugged cross, And exchange it some day for a crown."-George Bennard

Joshua Caedmon Shive, my oldest grandson, drew this and wrote out this simple thought of why Jesus died. It's pure and simple. And at the end of his writing he simply says, "Look it up".
" .. He was greatly displeased and said to them, 'Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.' And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them." Mark 10:13-16

Yes indeed. We can look it up without having to rely on the latest books are anything else telling us what is the truth.
From the mouths of babes.......
That is one perceptive kid. He must have really smart parents.
Amen Wayne.
He surely is a "perceptive kid". Joshua has some spiritual insights, there's no denying, for a 7 year old.
And his parents are very smart, and committed to Christ to raise there sons in His grace and knowledge.
Thanks Mike for popping in. God bless.
Wow- this kid must have sat under an amazing pastor in his toddler years when the artistic skills are in their most critical stage of development!
Excellent! What a treasure it is to see a child who loves Jesus.
Say, that brown path swirling through the center of the illustration, leading us to the cross, that wouldn't be The Roman Road now, would it?
Quite the amazing pastor indeed!
Thanks Craver . I'll have to ask Josh about that dirt road Craver. I'll let you know.
How precious! Thanks so much for sharing :)
