"Honor ... your mother" Exodux 20:12
I was blessed to have my three grandsons, and my daughter visit my Mom with myself this 24th day of May.
She is a resident at "Brightview Assisted Living", and she is 88 and 1/2 years old. She loves the Lord Jesus, and yet she is truly wearing down. Her eyes and knees, and whole body really, is quite worn, but her spirit is renewed each day. Her name is Bernadette Lacey Sands, and she is quite the very fine example of faith and humility.
The Lord says to honor your Mom, and I have, over my 55 years of being her son, done just the opposite, and been rather the thorn to her.
Nevertheless, my Mom is very forgiveing, and the mercy and grace of Christ has helped me to ask for forgiveness, and even bless my Mom in some ways, to the glory of our Savior and Lord.
While Steph, -my daughter-, and I sat with Grandma in the library and chatted, the boys, (Josh, Matt, & Noah), were blessed with icecream sandwiches from a Brightview employee, and enjoyed an episode of Sponge Bob in Grandma's room.

what blessing to have your mother still- I wish I had mine! and to have your daughter and grandsons in the same place is such a treasure!
Yes, it's sweet. But there are bitter things to endure as well.
Sorry that your Mom is gone.
Thanks for stopping by.
