".. For I Know Whom I Have Believed, and Am Persuaded.." -Paul the Apostle

Can I know whom I believed, and do believe, as Paul & Peter did? Absolutely. And I do.

Peter, the Apostle, servant & friend of the Lord Jesus, and ex-fisherman, said this, as he preached to Cornelius and his family:

"..God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.
And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hung on a tree:
Him God raised up the third day, and showed Him openly;
Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before by God, to us, who did EAT and DRINK with Him AFTER He rose from the dead." Acts: 10:38-41

Peter, the elder & soon to be martyr, also said: "...we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. ..when there came a voice to Him from the majestic glory, 'This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'
And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with Him in the holy mount." 2 Peter 1:16-18

Peter went on to say, there's a more sure Word than the voice he heard. What's that Word? The Holy Scriptures is the more sure word Peter is talking about, and also wrting down as a more sure Word, since what he writes is Scriptures itself.

The Bible should excite the born again believer down to our toes. It's our spiritual food, and it's where the truth is found, and we need to be eating bountiful portions of this "bread from heaven."
The truth of the Scriptures is a solid, unmovable, foundation for my faith. I don't ever have to apologize for my trusting in Christ, and the truth of the Gospel.
It is the one true truth that we can wrap our whole soul, heart, and mind around. So be encouraged in your faith, and read your Bible every day. For faith comes through hearing the Word: That is, our faith is built-up and strengthened when we read, study, and ponder the Word.
So be encouraged, and rejoice in the truth (1 Cor. 13:6).
