"No Cross, No Crown"

"So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old rugged cross, And exchange it some day for a crown."-George Bennard

About Me

Married for 43 years. Have one daughter and four grand-sons: Josh, Matt, Noah, & Calvin. The Lord saved me in the autumn-winter of 1984-85. I was raised a Catholic, but I never was serious about it very much. When Christ changed my heart, my whole life was transformed, from a very ungodly sinner, a chief of sinners, and over time I was able to understand the truths of the Bible by His Spirit of grace. The Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ displayed the great mercy of God, and also the wrath of God upon my sin. Isaiah 53; 2 Cor. 5:21 And the empty tomb says He reigns with all authority in heaven and earth. He is the Holy One, who demands my loyalty. His love, which sought me and found me when I was lost in my sinful self-centered life, and even dead, has made me alive, so that I now love Him. 1 John 4:19
