"So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown."-George Bennard
This is excellent. It's refreshing to find intellectually honestly among those who have yet (hopefully!!) come to Christ. Thanks for posting this, bro.
I don't know a whole lot about Dawkins, but I know he disregards Christianity out of hand.
"I don't see the Olympian gods or Jesus coming down and dying on the Cross as worthy of that grandeur. They strike me as parochial. If there is a God, it's going to be a whole lot bigger and a whole lot more incomprehensible than anything that any theologian of any religion has ever proposed."
Dawkins is quite an angry man I believe....I just can't understand the persistent disavowing of Christianity (over other religions) by Atheists as he...
I think it was CS Lewis who once said There is no such thing as an atheist - only an angry theist. Or something like that....
In the video: Science & Christianity: 'missing links' M Ruse says that the book (The God Delusion by Dawkins) "does not come across as a book by a human being that is a happy human being".....
The amazing fact is that Dawkins has sold 3,000,000 copies of that particular book, I guess. That's a lot of interest in evolution without God.
Or perhaps there always has been?
I actually have a link to an atheist acquaintance: Maalie. I visit his blog and we have had some discussions of theology. He's a rather fine bloke, though we disagree of course.
It grieves me to know that he disagrees with us about God, and especially when I think of the consequences of remaining in that disbelief, but I appreciate the way he does it. He seems to be honest and fair.
I have to admit that my eyes were opened many years ago when the scales of delusion fell from my eyes. I felt like I was free, as if I was born again. It was wonderful, so liberating.
It is not reasonable to accept the science that is convenient to you, but reject that which appears to contradict your dogma. It is all the same science.

I guess it's the Center for Public Christianity.

Good thought Craver. May the lord open his eyes. Amen.

I agree Maalie.
Thanks for coming by.
That is one weird dude.
Yeah, he's kind of weird, but a jolly happy bloke as well, who doesn't seem to mind religion.
Bottom line, he needs the eyes of his heart opened by Christ's mercy, just as Dawkins does, who abhors all religion.
Nice to see you stop by Miguel.
