Some local Americans remembering, and sharing their memory.
I was blessed to see these neighbors standing in the windy cold pouring rain. I was able to chat with a couple of them, and they seemed happy holding their American flag. The cars, and especially the trucks, were sounding their horns to encourage these people.
Is it alright for a Christian to hold a flag on this day of September 11th in order to proclaim the memory of the most tragic day in American history? I suppose Pearl Harbor could be an equal tragedy. Nevertheless, 9/11 was a horrific day in American history.
I would certainly hold the flag up as an American Citizen, and one who loves my freedom, and this nation's foundational principles. I really do like my freedom, and would fight for it if needs be. And especially for my family: My children, and grandchildren; and loved ones and friends.Never the aggressor, but to defend my liberty is well worth it I think. To have a peaceable life here on earth, while I serve my fellow man, and love Jesus Christ, is a gift from God that I truly appreciate.
Here's a quote we used to all be conscience of, but I fear the younger generation has no idea of this kind of valor with humility:
