"...we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Is God always in control of my life, my heart, my body, and my mind? Yes He surely is.

John Calvin says: "Ignorance of providence is the ultimate of all miseries. The highest blessedness lies in the knowledge of it. His solace is to know that his heavenly Father so holds all things in His power, so rules by His authority and will, so governs by His wisdom that nothing can befall except He determine it."

Zechariah 2:8 says, "whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye."

We will have good and bad in our lives. Perhaps we will have a lot more bad. Or maybe we will have a lot of good. It matters not, as far as how God means the good and the bad for our good, and for His glory. But it does matter to us, doesn't it. Trials, struggles, and tragedies weigh on our hearts and souls, and there's no way of softening the heavy difficult times in our lives. But, this truth of God's love for us, and His sovereign hand never leaving us, will help sustain us and help us endure. Truth will set us free, but it at the same time may knock us square in the chin, and to the ground.

So be encouraged that your Lord Jesus Christ loves you and died for you, and also that your Father in heaven loves you, and has you in His hand, which hand is right next to Jesus' hand, which is also holding you, and preserving you for His glory, which one day, when we die, or the Lord returns we will see. What a Day that will be!

Here's a short word from a pastor on this verse that I found on Youtube, on location in Israel (I enjoyed the scenery, and the teaching was okay):
