"... go, tell His disciples AND PETER that He is going before you to Galilee. There you will see Him, just as He told you.”-the angel at the tomb

Jesus made sure His angel told the women, "and Peter". Peter needed to hear that Jesus wanted to see him. Many times I feel as though my Lord is disgusted with me, and doesn't desire that I be with Him. Yet, the Word shows us how great His love really is toward those who love Him, and believe in Him. And take encouragement from these two words: "and Peter".
Our Lord did, however, rebuke His disciples. Yet, that doesn't diminish His great love and care He had for them. In fact, it reveals His love, doesn't it.

This is an excellent reading of the 16th Chapter of Mark's Gospel. Be edified in the Truth.
