"I got a Home in Glory Land that Out-shines the Sun. Do Lord, Do Lord, Remember me!"

Pastor Glenn Kaiser is quite a Geetar player, especially R&B. But he has done all kinds of music and songs. He leads worship, and had a Rock & Roll Band as well: The Rez Band.

Resurrection Band, also known as Rez Band or REZ, was a Christian rock band formed in 1972. They were part of the Jesus People USA Christian community in Chicago and most of its members have continued in that community to this day. Known for their blend of blues-rock and hard rock, Resurrection Band is credited as one of the forerunners of the Christian metal genre. Christianity Today called them "the most influential band in Christian music history."

Hi Don;
Comment to your previous post.
"Praise You Lord! And thank You Father for giving Your Son to be the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world on the Cross, where Jesus said, "It is Finished!"

Well brother; tell me, who really is your God??
Is it the Father?
Or Jesus?
Or perhaps both?

One day you have to deal with your many gods and repent from believing and portraying God to be many people, and then turn back to the only true God (1 John 5:20).
He is the God who paid with His own blood the price for your sins and beside Him (Jesus Christ) there is no other God.
"I am the Lord your God you shalt have no other gods before Me." (Ex. 20:2-6)
Regards
Paul

He is the God of Scripture who is my God and Lord.

God the Father,
God the Son,
&
God the Holy Spirit!

"Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
(John 20:28 ESV)

Thanks Don;
"God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit ", in your God-economy certainly are three Gods.
You or anybody shouldn't call those three God-people "HE", you should call those three God-persons "THEY" since you believe in many Gods. Three persons are called 'THEY' (plural) and not 'He' (singular).
The God of the Bible is ONE, it is the Lord Jesus Christ and "HE" does not share the glory of the Father with another person who is also a God.

Thomas rightly said to Jesus "My Lord and My God", because there isn't any other person who is also God.
Yet, the Scripture said that there is another god, the god of this world, and we both know who that is.
Satan is the god of this world and many believe in him rather than in the true God Jesus Christ (1 John 5:20).
Don; if there is only one true God Jesus Christ the Lord, who then is that other person whom you call "God the Father"?
Please Don, don't sweep the correction of the Lord under the carpet and pretend that He never addressed this great sin which is to believe that God is many God-people in one God.
Lots of love
Paul

Paul, the Bible is quite clear that there is a Triune God. If you can't see it, then your heart is callous, and you need to ask God our Father to remove the hardness.

Jesus prayed to His Father, and you can pray to God the father in His name.

"O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
(John 17:25-26 ESV)

Don; the word and term "Triune God" is not in the Bible, it is a term which was invented by some deceived individuals who don't know God the creator of heaven and earth who is the only true God of the Bible Jesus Christ the Lord.
You said;
"Jesus prayed to His Father, and you can pray to God the Father in His name".

Don, what do you think that means?
Does it mean that you can pray to this unknowable God whom you call Father in the name of another God called Jesus?

That would turn the Lord of glory Jesus Christ into a doormat, where you walk over Him to go to this other (unknowable) real God the Father, which has no name.

It troubles me much that the Lord Jesus did not made known to you the Name of the Father.
Jesus said, (John 17---) "I made known to them your name."

Tell me Don; which NAME did Jesus make known to us???

Jesus prayed to His father. period. Jesus prayed to another. This is the truth.

Who was Jesus praying to, and who did He give His life for?

His Father.

His name is who He is.

Paul G said...

No Don! Jesus did not pray to another person, because there was no other God to pray to.
Just the same as Jesus swore by Himself, because there was no other God-person to swear by (Jer. 22:5).

Jesus was praying to Himself that is to His Spirit.
Jesus didn't need to pray, because He is not a sinner like all men are.
Jesus prayed, because He held the last office of a high priest in the old covenant, and in that office (as a man in flesh) He prayed and brought the last sacrificial lamb, that is Himself to the cross and laid down His life only for His sheep and not for the wolves (John 10:11-15), so that they would be saved and believe in Him.

By believe in Him I mean; that Jesus Christ is the true God, and that there is no other person next to Him who is also a God (1 John 5:20).
Jesus Christ alone is the creator of heaven and earth and everything in it, He is the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end, the first and the last, before Abraham was "I AM" said the Lord.

Also; His name is NOT "Who He is", as you have said.
His name is JESUS!
God never ever had another name than JESUS.

I'm sorry Don, but I don’t know what you mean by "His Father".
Kind regards
Paul

Paul you make up your own meaning to the Holy Scripture, and that is very dangerous. John chapter 17 is very clear and the truth is pure and simple, and you twist to your own way of thinking.

I suppose this is where we have to end my friend.

I pray we will both hear what God's Word says, and not what we want it to say. Amen.

I'm reading both of you and I am now more confused than ever, A little 'learning' about the supposed 'eternal' can be an eternally dangerous thing perhaps. Maybe ignorance truly is Bliss.

Hey Anon,

First, you need to see the truth of Jesus Christ, who died. This is true, that a Man named Jesus lived and died.
But, He rose from the dead!

This is the Gospel, or good news for sinners like us.

That's where it begins. Go and seek this truth, and you will find it.

I pray our Lord will draw you to Himself. Amen.
