The Holy Spirit will always witness to our spirit through the Bible. I heard of people who say take time with the Lord, and put your Bible on the side. That's Satan talking. God would never say that.
The Word of God is one with God. It's living and sharp, and cuts deep into our souls and hearts. It renews our minds, and it's God's treasure to us, His beloved children.
"Oh how I love Your law! it is my meditation all the day. ... Your Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. .... Therefore I love Your commandments above gold; yes, above fine gold. .... Consider how I love Your precepts: quicken me, O Lord, according to Your lovingkindness." (Psalm 119:97,105,127,&159)
It's because the Lord loved me, that I love Him, and because I love Him, I now love His Word.
