"Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ." -St. Paul, Galatians 1:3

"Peace of conscience can never be had, unless sin be first forgiven. But sin is not forgiven by the fulfilling of the law; for no man is able to satisfy the law. The law shows sin, accuses and terrifies the conscience, declares the wrath of God, and drives to desperation. Much less is sin taken away by the works and inventions of men, but sin is rather increased by works. So there is no means to take away sin, but grace alone. Therefore, Paul in all the greetings of his epistles sets grace and peace against sin and an evil conscience. .... it is impossible that the conscience should be quiet and joyful, unless it have peace through grace, that is to say, through forgiveness of sins promised in Christ." -Martin Luther

For me, knowing all my sins are pardoned, is truly too wonderful to take in completely. Could Jesus Christ really love me this much? Yes, He in fact does. And yet I can never be totally satisfied with fully embracing this, but always feel as if I lack in some sense, and must earn this most precious and gracious of all pardons.
Perhaps As I continue to grow in the grace of Christ, I will find more and more the rest which is found in this most awesome of all truths. And then the faith of my heart will in turn cause me to sanctify myself in His love, and this for His glory alone.

"Your blood speaks a better word
Than all the empty claims I've heard upon this earth
Speaks righteousness for me
And stands in my defense
Jesus it's Your blood

What can wash away our sins?
What can make us whole again?
Nothing but the blood, Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can wash us pure as snow?
Welcomed as the friends of God
Nothing but Your blood, Nothing but Your blood

King Jesus, Your cross testifies in grace
Tells of the Father's heart to make a way for us
Now boldly we approach
Not by earthly confidence
It's only Your blood" -Sir Matt of Redman
