Wishing all a Merry Christmas & Feliz Navidad!

"And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.

And when they had seen, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning the Child.

And all they that heard wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered in her heart.

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them." Luke 2:15-20

What an honor for these shepherds. One moment they are "keeping watch over their flock", and the next thing they know they are eye witness' of Isaiah's prophecy of the Messiah: "Behold, a Virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. ...For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." (Isa. 7:14; 9:6)

Christmas is all about Christ. May we be as the shepherds were, and become excited about Christ, and so go about telling the truth of Christ to a world that has lost it's way in the dark, and has been blinded by Satan. Christ is the light of the world, and we need to be bright shining lights. Some will hate the light, and try to put it out. Otheres will be drawn to the light, and even brought into the marvelous light as we have been. And so Christ will be glorified and His name will become famous.

What a Savior! What a King!

From Handel's Messiah: "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in.
Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in.
Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of Hosts, He is the King of Glory."
(Psalm 24: 7-10)
