"For the word of the Cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." -Paul, the Apostle

Rembrandt, Descent from the Cross, 1634

"Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all."
Isaiah 53:4-6

Thank You Jesus for dying for me, and taking all my sinful behavior; my sinful words; and sinful thoughts, upon Your holy and perfect broken body. You became sin and a curse for me, the sinful and cursed one.
I am forever grateful to my Savior and Lord. Amen.
